The Exterior Finishes —
Steel Trowel
Smooth stucco aka Santa Barbara Finish lends itself to modern, Mediterranean, and various architectural styles. Smooth plaster offers a timeless look. As plaster in general dates back to the Roman Empire, modern day manufacturers have perfected the formulas for steel trowel stucco.
Fine Sand
The smoother of the sand finishes, a 20/30 sand finish is a texture in between the steel trowel and a standard sand finish.
Dash Coat
If it’s texture you want, the dash coat you shall have. This machine application is considered a coarse or heavy texture through the use of a larger aggregate and build up of cement.
Acrylic (Smooth to Coarse)
Acrylic finish coats are a synthetic polymer product with integrated capabilities of surface resistance to dirt, mold and pollutants. Offered in various textures, this alternate to a cementitious finish provides a premium finish to any project. It’s flexible properties make it ideal for multi-story construction.
Standard Sand Finish
A 16/20 sand finish provides a quality cement exterior. While the most economical of the stucco finishes, it can compliment a variety of adjacent materials and while typically used for large scale developments is a great selection for the single family dwelling.
